We are pleased to confirm the visiting Instructors from (the Shotokan Karate-do International Federation GHQ) are:
- Shuseki Shihan Manabu Murakami – Chief Instructor – 8th Dan
It is our pleasure to host Shihan Murakami, internationally renowned SKIF Chief Instructor and SKI World Champion 1988, 1991 & 1994.
- Sensei Daizo Kanazawa – 6th Dan
SKI all Japan Champion 2007 & 2008, SKIF Director and son of founder Hirokazu Kanazawa Soke.
Members of all ages and grades are welcome and encouraged to participate in the Seminar and National Championships. This is a unique training experience with world renowned instructors from Japan as well as our home grown talent. What an opportunity to train in such a wonderful destination, to catch up with friends and get to know fellow Karateka.
SKIA would like to remind members wanting to gain selection on the SKI Australian Team for the 2019 World Championships in the Czech Republic that it is compulsory to attend all sessions of Shotokan Week and compete in the National Championships.

- General Seminar @ USC: Wednesday 3rd October 2018 to Friday 5th October 2018 (Dan promotions test Friday afternoon).

- Farewell Dinner: Saturday 6th October 2018 @ Buderim Tavern.

USC (University of Sunshine Coast) is located in the centre of the Sunshine Coast region just 10 minutes from Mooloolabah Beach and less than 5 minutes to the M1 motorway.

Stretching from Noosa in the North down to Caloundra, the Sunshine Coast is a popular holiday destination. The region is known for its beautiful beaches and lush hinterland. It is recommended attendees book accommodation early to avoid disappointment.
